Dofus 2.0 Has Been Released

Yesterday Ankama games released version 2.0 of their biggest mmo hit Dofus. The new version of Dofus comes with a rewritten server and client code, upgraded graphics engine and a lot of new fresh visual effects.

Many people have asked the question: what will happen to my account, my character and my gear? But don’t be worried people you can easily move you character from Dofus 1.29 to Dofus 2.0 in the future. But for the moment only new character creation is available. You can also continue level your existing characters on the old servers all tho Ankama encourage you to move your character to the new servers when the server migration is ready.

We have all been waiting expectantly for Wednesday, December 2, 2009, players and developers alike…

DOFUS 2.0 has arrived!

Head over to the new server that has been opened for the occasion - Zatoïshwan - where you’ll be able to rediscover the World of Twelve and create a brand new character!

As was announced on Monday, and like many of you wanted, you can still play on DOFUS 1.29 and level up your characters there. Eventually we will encourage you to join 2.0 with your existing characters. In the meantime, take the opportunity to play both versions at the same time!

*To celebrate Dofus 2.0 Ankama games have put on double XP and double drop rate on the new server from 2 Dec to 16 Dec, 2009.
